Chocolate Chip Cookies

• 1 cup (225 g) butter — softened
• ¾ cup (150 g) sugar
• ¾ cup (165 g) brown sugar — packed
• 2 large (100 g) eggs
• 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla extract
• 2 ¼ cup (280 g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp (6 g) baking soda
• 1 tsp (6 g) salt
• 2 cup (340 g) chocolate chips

Steps

1. Prep — Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Prep — Line two baking sheets with parchment.
3. Cream 3 min (until light and fluffy) — 1 cup (225 g) butter, ¾ cup (150 g) sugar, ¾ cup (165 g) brown sugar.
4. Beat in — the cream 3 min from step 3, 2 large (100 g) eggs, 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla extract.
5. Whisk (dry) — 2 ¼ cup (280 g) all-purpose flour, 1 tsp (6 g) baking soda, 1 tsp (6 g) salt.
6. Fold in — the beat in from step 4, the whisk (dry) from step 5, 2 cup (340 g) chocolate chips.
7. Scoop (2-Tbs balls, spaced apart) — the fold in from step 6.
8. Bake (375°F (190°C) · 9–11 min, until edges golden) — the scoop from step 7.
